Like Demonic Manifestations,poltergeist attacks Can be sudden and abvious or gradual and subtle until their perpetrators reach their full power, so In a sense one could mistake one for the other at the beginning, yes or no.

To answer your original question, manifestations can be broken down into lots of categories. We were discussing this in another thread but now I can't remember which one though. Demonic is really just a label that people tend to stick on dark energies whether they are non-human or human and negative. Poltergeist tends to be non-human, but being that poltergeist means "noisy ghost," that label tends to get thrown around haphazardly. So demonic/poltergeist...pretty much overlaps in a lot of areas. Better to weigh the manifestation on an individual basis.

so true! I really feel that each situation is different and should be handled as such. Research and documentation of everything happening should be detailed. It should not be a guessing game but rather handled with care. Too much room for error in this field and I think that attributes to people's skepticism of the paranormal experiences. I'm all for lots and lots of research to make sure one knows for sure what they are dealing with.

Except perhaps to say that many conditions can have the same symptoms, but it does not make them the same condition.
