Dance of Words


Dance of words are spoken
Without a sense of truth
Tip-toeing to the surface
Maybe keep your youth
We dance around so blind
To every lesson near
Frightened of the pain
Our hearts can only hear
Seeking solace desperately
But constantly keep shifting
Will we ever stop to consider what we're missing?
Spinning about in circles
Without a point in sight
Keep on twirling faster
Crashing you just might
But if you'd rather tire
Patiently I wait
To listen to your stories
In denial of your fate.
