So I just want to take a moment to thank the crew at Black Hills Paranormal for a great live investigation. They took the time to dedicated 1-2 individuals at all time to "MC" the investigation, narrating and communicating with the viewers. Make sure to visit their website at
www.bhparanormal.com/.
Also thanks to everyone that came out to watch, I realize it was a long night. But that's the nature of an investigation. They start late, and they go into the wee hours of the night. I personally made it from 10pm until 2:30am eastern time before I had to bow out. But the investigation was still going strong, and the feed kept running well past that time.
The crew from Black Hills paranormal also invited some local students to this investigation as part of a research project, and also one reporter writing a story on the event. Thanks to them as well for sharing their impression of the investigation as it was progressing, and answering questions from the viewers.
All in all I would declare it a unmitigated success, and I look forward to many more such events in conjunction with BHPI and many other groups.
As we progress through our investigation broadcasts we learn new things every time. And a few things we learned this time were to increase the resolution perhaps sacrificing bandwidth when possible for a better experience. Also we must still work on ways to add sound to investigations in the future. Additionally we will be adding a counter to count viewers while the investigation is taking place in a real-time manner. And perhaps update the broadcast interface to provide more control.
All great learning experiences that came out of the event. I value the input of the viewers and am looking forward to suggestions.
