I wish I had a nickel for every REAL "Paranormal Expert" I've met. I'd have exactly $0. . .
The whole premise behind this site is to allow EVERYONE to share information. To make sure that the person sitting in his back yard listening to the voices in the wind has the same voice as the scholar who has been in the field for 50 years. That's not to say that we should not respect the opinion of those who have devoted their lives to the field. But at the same time it should not devaluate what John Q. Public has to say or add.
But in the same breath, lets not be disrespectful to other investigators. Whether they're on TV, off TV, or on the street with a sign saying "The end is near...".
That's what I love about this site CC; that everyone is on the same playing field and I think you're an important voice to bring that message across.
I would have to respectfully disagree about being disrespectful to those, say; who are on TV. Firstly, respect is earned. When your show is for ratings and drama, not to mention the fact that they don't have respect for those spirits that they are supposedly investigating; respect is undeserved. I see people like this the way I do a used car salesman; a lot of talk with nothing to back it up. Their intentions are more about themselves.
